On the downside, although decently sized and containing a lot of high-interest reading material, ReadingIQ’s library is more limited (7000+ books) than other digital libraries. An incentive program needs, well, an incentive to encourage kids to keep reading and keep challenging themselves.
After finishing a book and completing a quiz, a student is awarded a certain amount of AR points, the exact amount of which depends on the complexity and length of the book read. Pair your child with another student, or even have the book read to your child. At school, we only take the Reading Practice test for points. You may notice that some popular books have more points assigned to them than some classic pieces of literature.
